That's what Use magic device and a scroll is for.... Sure the scroll is 3000 steel in krynn.... but 600 pounds of steel coins or a 500 pound steel block has got to be worth more than that. Maybe not much more but keep doing it by getting like copper coins to transform and we could be richer than the rest of krynn in a matter of days.... Still just like most spells it can't create items of true value like copper or gold so that would mean in DL no steel.

Besides its counter productive considering we have bigger fish to fry. However, i do see a copper statue made in the likeness of Azcot left at every town we come to as a good use of spells and resources.

It would have to be stone as copper is actually on the no-no list for the spell you can transform copper into something else but not something into copper.

This is an unsanctioned use of magical energy. I shall be using that energy to turn Rin into a voiceless pidgeon.

Oohh, how about wall of Iron, it's a level 6 wizard spell that creates 5 square feet of iron per caster level, and it's permanent, then we just need to make it into coins!

I guess the worst punishment for Rin would be to have a zone of silence being cast on him and he being unable to remove it or get out of it or .. or .. or...
Oh never mind.. Lets just knock him out then bind his talons and claws and gag and blindfold him then do the same with Tani.

You have just given Rin the power to create a Ring of Glibness when he hit's 7th. As I do believe you can space the days out as well. However that would be a DM call. Oh btw.. I'd rule you needed the craft ring feat on this which is only available when you hit 12th level unless there's some sort of rule that supercedes this I don't know about

Hmm good point.. www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/creatingMagicItems.htm" The caster works for 8 hours each day. He cannot rush the process by working longer each day. But the days need not be consecutive, and the caster can use the rest of his time as he sees fit. " However as a DM I'm going to rule that anything other that potions can't be done without devoting a day of game time to it without travelling or adventuring due to "game balance" reasons.. potions are a minor enough magic item to let you guys get away with, anything more major would be a problem.... Serinda now has the "Leomund's Secure Shelter" spell www.alchar.org/~aedil/Campaign/WizardSpells/Leomunds_Secure_Shelter.htmlSo , later on in the future, I MIGHT let you guys work on creating magic items if all you're doing is travelling for the day and you don't have to fight any bad guys or anything like that... basically I'm assuming you do a "normal walk" instead of a "forced march" .. see www.d20srd.org/srd/movement.htm#modesofMovementSince you'd suffer subdual damage going more than 8 hours/day.. you COULD try using Za'era's healing abilities to counter the subdual damage (or Rin's or Eolaer's) but it would become a matter of making the constitution checks, seeing how much damage you take then seeing if there's enough healing spells and what not to go around to counter that ... If you don't do the forced march thing however I would allow the 8 hours/day of magic item creation to be included as part of the "breaking camp et cetera" part mentioned in the link above as long as you didn't have to do any fighting or other important adventurer type stuff that day thanks to Serinda's secure shelter spell (which she recently acquired ) ... basically if a day goes by with you just moving overland and nothing else let me know if you want to start working on creating magic items .... Please bear all the normal requirements in mind, the materials needed for it and cost for it , the feats needed to create the magic items (for example having to be 12th level to make rings ) , being able to cast the spells required for said item, time involved et cetera ...
