Interrogating 4 draconians in the swamp...

" I have to admit that wassssss a good one... you fooled ussss well and truly .. but how did you mimic our voicessss sssso well? And more importantly.. why have you not killed ussss yet? Any draconian knowsssss of the the dark elvessssss... your type doessss not hessssitate to kill.. then again perhapsss thisss issss why your people hunt you?" There's no mockery in his tone, the draconian looks genuinely confused as he stares at Za'era... " Perhapssssss you follow the orderssssss of the half-devil ?" he adds looking at Adam... " But ssssssince when doesssss a dark elf female take orderssss from a male? " The draconian looks like his brain is about to explode from sheer bewilderment... " And why are you not with the other bird-men who fight for the Dark Queen" adds the draconian staring at Rin .. " Thisss issss mossssst sssstrange... Perhapssss they do not like your humor?"

The draconian cocks his head to one side studying Adam.. " Yet you musssst be in charge of them.... or elssssse you would not have sssshown ussss mercy... they sssssay you're ssssssome ssssssort of a ssssssaint... but I didn't believe it until now ...

" the draconian laughs again then adds " The fact that you haven't killed usssss where we ssstand issss reward enough.. though I sssstill do not underssstand why... perhapsssss you ussssse the powersss you inherited from your father to keep the othersssss of your group in line?

(Anyone who wants to can make a sense motive check before they start accusing the draconian of lies, trickery et cet .. since he's not trying to be dishonest to begin with and means everything he's saying it's DC 5 ) ...

Za'era leaves after those lines and does not hear the rest anymore. While that lizardman said this the calling of her blood became stronger with every second. She walks away from the camp and tries to keep herself under control. She so wants to let go and hear that draconian scream and beg for mercy. To smell his blood and watch his face grimace in pain for what he did to her and the others. Instead she has to endure this mockery no matter if it was intended or not. She sits down on the ground away from the others. If she would stay one moment longer she may not be able to withstand all this anymore and then... then.. She tries to recall the images of her vision... then she would fail her father? She sighs and tries to think of Venorik.
The drow forms a first with her crippled hand and slams it into the ground over and over again until she feels the blood inside her glove run down her skin. This battle is not won yet. She is much further away from it as she thought. Not even the night with Adams father seems to have changed things enough.
She looks over to her "friends" and thinks that none of them understand her for real. She tries so hard but it seems that she can only fail. Her blood, her nature, her education, her upbringing and her culture... She can not leave all this behind and ignore all of it.
She feels the pain in her hand and pulls her arm close to her body shielding the injured limb. If pain would just not be the only thing that would make her feel alive and somehow connected to herself anymore. Tears slowly run down her dark cheeks and fall to the ground like single raindrops.

At least she can cry still.

Rin looks a bit proud, still pissed but proud.

"'We did it like thisss."'

Mimicking the dracoinians voice.

"My Rin the trickster. Oh how very pleased I am that cooled him off."

Rin gives Tani a sidelong glance.

"As for why I'm not wiht the rest of the kenku. My mother and I were sent away after my father died. It was so the clan would not have to worry about mother not pulling her weight because she was raising me. I just never went back, don't want to either too much fun to be had up here as a bard."

With that being said he follows Za'era. Not only so he doesn't make Adam pissed by having Draconian for lunch, but she seemed to leave rather abruptly.

"You alright Za'era?"

Za'era shakes her head at him without turning around. She does not want him to see her like this. She rests her hurt hand in her lap and then wipes the tears out of her face. She tries to calm down and look less pitiful. Still not turning around she says softly.

"I... I do not know how much longer I can manage to go on like this. There is no peace for me in this world."

She closes her eyes as more tears run down her cheek. She places her crossbow, bolts and dagger on the ground then turns to Rin.

"Please take those and keep them out of my reach." She clears her throat and looks at him who always has been kind to her and rests her hand on his. "If one day I fail then finish it please. There could be no one better than you. Make sure that there will be peace."

With those words she leaves him with her weapons on the ground alone and seeks another place to be alone with her darkness.

Rin raises a claw to say some thing but it drops quicker then it was raised.

"Rin says he is speechless."

" Master" says a hobgoblin brother.. Grusk.. hesitantly.. " Do you want me to go get her? It could be dangerous for her alone in these swamps... and like I said she reminds me of mother..."

[darkalloy]

Rin shakes his head.

"No I don't think that would be a good idea right now. In a little while when we are ready to move again I'll go get her."

Rin shoo's Grusk off.

"Go see if you can find anything useful in this camp. You too Tani."

Tani pouts on Rin shoulder, and in a rather whining tone says.

"Do I have too?"

Rin nods.

"Yes you're a crow so you should have a rather good eye when it comes to finding shiny objects."

Tani leaps off Rins shoulder and flies around the area looking for whatever she can find.

(Tani got a 13 on search. 14-1=13.)

( I get the feeling the player really does want Za'era to be alone though I could be wrong ... but anyways if she wants to Za'era could make a hide check if she feels like it )

(Maybe but would Rin know or care? Anyway he would have to let her know "Hey we're getting ready to get ourselves nearly killed again wanna watch?")

(Tani is looking for shinies you know on the... exploded corpses. Rin's not gonna go get Za'era until it's time to leave that area.)

Rin seems to grin as he looks at Adam.

"So you said you deserve respect as my elder correct Adam? I have a bit of a counter proposal into which you may want to look, Namely it concerns being roasted alive the past two or three days. Don't know how long we were out so could have been three days. Technically I have seniority over you on that seeing as how you really can be roasted."

Rin chuckles as Tani drops a ember on Adam's shoulder.

(Oh hey guys also when Za'era gets super upset and runs off.. Madelaine warned me about this before but I forgot warn you guys.. she follows that one TV channel's logo " We Know Drama ! " .... but far as I'm concerned this is GREAT , it's exactly the kind of RP'ing I'm looking for from players ... and I'm so dead serious this is the sort of thing I beg players to do , this sort of drama ! (Rin is an obvious exception since he's more the comedian type but he does a fantastic job RP'ing in the forums too ) ... Za'era's emotional reactions will be INTENSE .. it's important players don't take it personally, just 'cause her PC gets pissed doesn't mean the PLAYER is pissed off at you ...

Having said that .. Za'era when you're feeling up to it I would like to have the draconians say a few words to you before you let them go as I'm sure Adam will suggest ... bear in mind what I said before too folks, prisoners you show mercy to do NOT come back to bite you in the ass later on ) ...

After a while Za'era returns to the camp. Her eyes glow deep red and she grabs a branch that is laying on the ground on her way back.
She walks straight to the draconian that was mocking her earlier.

"Dos orn naut mordivvin uns'aa 'sohna jaluk!"
((for those who understand drow: "You will not mock me again male!"))

She yells at him and swings the wood like a baseball bat hitting him hard in the chest then drops it on the ground.

"Nindyn lodias ph'l'sanrr dos ph'k'jakr dro. Ka Usstan orn'la naut ssrig'luin mina lu'nind folggash t'yin dos orn'la tlu elghinyrr a nin... ka dos orn'la tlu crealo!"
(("Those people are the reason you are still alive. If I would not need them and their friendship then you would be dead by now... if you would be lucky!"))

She kicks the draconian and obviously totally lost control of herself screaming at him.

"Natha fa'la zatoast saph dos kuuv ulu mordivvin natha jalil?! Dos ph'naut tangis'd'seke vlos!"

She spits on him then turns to Adam.

"And you! You are so awesome and generous and 'good' but when it is about me then you are not showing the least tolerance. You would forgive those lizardmen twice before you would give in even an inch to me! You are not better than him!" She points at the whimpering draconian. "You both are fanatics! You ignore my nature. My culture.. And most of all you do not even give credit to how hard I try to be different. There has been no female drow who has been raised as a priest in centuries who dared to stand against Takhisis. You may have left your own kin. You may have found peace. And still you look down on us thinking that you are better than us."

She takes a moment to calm down some more and takes a deep breath.

"One thing this lizardman said is true... I should not take orders from you."

She takes her weapons back from Rin.

"And the rest of you..." She looks around.. "You either accept me the way I am and show that you are friends and tolerate me or leave me in this swamp. It is your choice but I will no longer play Mrs.NiceGuy and bend until I break just to make him.." She points at Adam. ".. think that I am worthy enough."
