Ok so NOW I see what Deepfrey (Draug the werewolf) was saying .. if you check page 90 of the Complete Warrior WOTC sourcebook it states :
Morphic Weapons (Su): As a move action, a warshapercan grow natural weapons such as claws or fangs, allowing a natural attack that deals the appropriate amount of damage according to the size of the new form (see Table 5–1 on page 296 of the Monster Manual). These morphic weapons need not be natural weapons that the creature already possesses. For
example, a warshaper polymorphed into an ettin (Large giant)
could grow a claw that deals 1d6 points of damage, or horns
for a gore attack that deals 1d8 points of damage.
If the warshaper’s form already has a natural weapon of
that type, the weapon deals damage as if it were one category
larger. For example, a warshaper who used wild shape to
become a dire wolf (Large animal) could grow its jaw and
snout, enabling a bite attack that deals 2d6 points of damage
(as a for Huge animal), not the normal 1d8.
A warshaper can change morphic weapons as often as it
likes, even if it is using a shapechanging technique such as
the polymorph spell or the wild shape class feature that doesn’t
allow subsequent changes after the initial transformation.
So I'm going to take this to mean 2 things :
- Draug's damage dice from his natural weapons (claws and bite ) increase by one damage die, claws go from 1d4 to 1d6 damage and bite from 1d6 to 1d8 - I've already made these changes on his FG character sheet
- Draug doesn't have the ability to polymorph or wild shape (like the spell name polymorph or the druidic ability wild shape) .... he can however grow natural weapons that do 1d6 damage if a horn "gore" attack , since medium creatures do that level of daamge (see page 296 Monster Manual table 5-1 near the bottom of the page, version 3.5 of Monster Manual) ..
- looks like minotaurs who charge get to add 1 and 1/2 times their strength bonus to damage (so if you normally get say +4 on damage rolls for high strength you'd add +6 instead ) if you charge with a gore attack so I'm going to rule warshapers with a horn who charge can get the same benefit.....see
www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20030202
- a charge attack is a pretty useful option Draug though you don't have to have a horn on your head to do it , you can make a charge attack with pretty much any weapon .. basically you have to move in a straight line at least 10 feet then attack at the end of your charge though you can move as much as twice your normal movement rate and then attack afterwards all as part of your same actions allowed for you that combat round (so if you were in wolf form you could move 100 feet long as it's in a straight line and then attack all at the same time)... you get a +2 on your attack roll but suffer a -2 to your AC due to the recklessness of your charge.. also it's the only thing you can do that combat round as a full round action - see
