By which I mean posting pic's of NPC's that involve tasteful nudity .. the object here isn't to run a porn campaign (at least not in the dragonlance game I'm running  ) but having said that I think we're all mature adults here who can handle this sort of thing.. occasionally I'll come across pic's that capture what I'm trying to portray just beautifully .. and then my next question is, will this offend anyone in the group? So I'm putting it out there for feedback and would like everyone to sound off on this... As an example.. I see this as being an appropriate pic of one of the Dark Queen Takhisis's aspects in her role as The Dark Seductress (basically she becomes anything you could ever want physically in a partner in this aspect) ... anyone have any objections to a pic like this? I find it VERY difficult to find a good pic of a particular NPC that isn't what one would refer to as a "cheesecake" pic (chuckles)... that's simply the way the majority of fantasy pic's out there are , even pic's of males , and it would make my life MUCH harder if I have to censor my pic's to boot... again my intention is not to run a porn campaign , you're not going to see pic's actually depicting intercourse or anything like that... having said that I hope (fingers crossed) everyone is okay with this... please sound off and let me know ! PS not to sound male chauvenist but if anyone's worried about female reactions our one female player, Madelaine, is officially ok with it and has let me know this ... |

A few clarifications : 1) I'm not going to run a game that makes people uncomfortable but if anything makes someone uncomfortable feel free to shout out and tell me - so I'm glad you brought this up ! 2) female PC's will never be raped or molested ... you'll have all sorts of bad guys THREATENING to take her as a "pleasure slave", she might even be captured... but she'll always be rescued before anything of that nature actually happens to her... not the most realistic thing compared to "real life" I know but we're here to have fun in this game, not to make people uncomfortable.. so yes people will go on being attracted to her just for her looks and not seeing the person inside but no, I'm not turning this into a " Dragonlance the XXX Porn Movie" campaign either  3) Physical intimacy where the entire PC's as a group is aware of it tends to take place "off camera" ... there will be some humorous moments in the game involving sexuality but the PC's aren't getting involved in any wild orgies where all the PC's can all see exactly what's going on .. there WILL be intimacy going on between PC's and NPC's in the private forums but again the actual act happens "off camera" so to speak without a blow by blow account - plenty of porn on the 'net if people want to look for that elsewhere .. obviously if a player isn't interested in such things on the forum I'm not going to push it .... in your case this doesn't really matter too much since you're currently too busy for forum threads (no accusation intended there either it's ok, you warned me real life would keep you way busy at the start of all this ) and it should be a non-issue in the FG game sessions so I think you're all set .. |

I don't mind nudity if it's moderate, that picture you used as example is fine to me for example. But if it was some kind of picture with 1 girl and 3 guys into some kind of wild gangbang then I'd have to draw the line. For the record I don't think that was ever what you intended, I just want to be clear about how I see things. Same way I don't see any problem with relationships being roleplaying, as long as actual sex is just kept to the imagination. Basicly anything hollywood would be willing to show is fine. But if you have to go to that 'special' movie theater in the dark alley to see it, best keep it to yourself |

Yeah it's all supposed to be tastefully done. Think like soap and perfume ad's or even charity risqué calendars they aren't meant to be vulgar or overtly pornographic, just to be revealing and rather sexy. Oddly the rather sexy thing sounds like a contradiction to the statement before it.

Ok duly noted I will use black bars to hide the nude parts.. again folks though bear in mind that given the majority of fantasy art pic's out there involve nudity it is REALLY tough for me to find pic's that leave the nudity out - do a search on deviant art and you'll see what I mean.. the dryad pic for example.. again needed to find a red-headed gorgeous woman who had a "tree/nature-like" feel to her.. I suppose it's possible for me to spend hours searching and searching but quite honestly with the 7 and 9 year old munchkins I have it's REALLY difficult for me to find that time  .. but yep, will censor the pic's from now on... |

I hope buttaskibuddha doesn't mind me copying and pasting his PM to me but just so the group knows where he stands on this (basically I'm trying to avoid a situation where someone gets offended by keeping everyone appraised of everyone else's preferences ) he says , as far as the quoted text above " Yeah I don't mind the "off screen" stuff as much. or even if it is described, it is not too bad. " So basically it's just full front-on nudity that he has an issue with (which I will address from now on with the black bar thing ) |

Well lets just say that one one of the few pics that was red haired and nature-y while not being either worse in the nudity department or did not portray the NPC in the best light. So believe me when I say Andre is completely correct and that was really the only pic on deviant art. Anyway if you'll excuse me in need to get a new pair of eyes as I was also looking to see if any better pics for Rin showed up and mine melted. I really should learn my lesson and quit while I'm ahead. |

Just a side note never ever search for corvid anthro, crow anthro, bird anthro, tengu, kenku, or anything bird persony on deviant.... Your eyes melt..

Have any of you guys tried using Lord of the Rings fan sites for pictures? They wouldn't be completely accurate to what you want but they are still very decent.
