I mentioned this earlier in e-mails to folks but will re-state it again.. if it's in an official WOTC book and you like it more than likely I will allow it , making alterations if necessary so it fits the world of Krynn ... Since darkalloy loves running kenku , kenku exist in the world of Krynn ...Monster Manual Three has more info on the race but basically they're bird-men... head of a bird, humanoid, feathers all over, you get the picture.
Kenku are listed as "evil" in the Monster Manual... it's not quite so black and white in Krynn... a large number of them are evil (they have particular inroads into the slave-trading business in the world of Krynn) as mentioned in MM3 but you also have sizable numbers of Neutral aligned "I'm just minding my own business" and even Good aligned kenku out there too. There aren't a HUGE number of kenku on the face of Krynn ... as a matter of fact only someone who is a seasoned traveller , someone educated in such matters, or pretty much anyone who is a former or current slave or who has anything to do with the slave trade would recognize one on sight. Kenku are aware that their appearance may cause some peasants to see them as "demons" and tend to huddle inside their robes , doing their best to avoid being noticed... their excellent abilities at mimicry help them pass for "normal"... still there are certain parts of society (Solace for one) that won't automatically lynch a kenku upon seeing one. Kenku also find they are more easily accepted in the larger cities in Krynn (more used to a "cosmopolitan" sort of population), where they can use their mimicry skills to entertain the masses.
The majority of Kenku live on the mountain ranges close by to Nereka.
Darkalloy if there's anything you want to add to this feel free (he plays kenku quite a bit in d and d so he's the resident "kenku expert" )
