A combat scene is coming up in the next FG game which may involve 7 or more people squeezed into a 10 foot wide enclosed area.. not the most ideal situation for combat I tried searching online and through the player's handbook and dungeon master's guide for rules regarding this and this is the best I could come up with , so I'll go ahead and use the -4 on attacks/AC penalty here unless someone else can come up with a better rules reference elsewhere (in which case however I'd still need either a website address or a book and page number before I could use the rule ... ) www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/movementPositionAndDistance.htm"Terrain and Obstacles" " Squeezing In some cases, you may have to squeeze into or through an area that isn’t as wide as the space you take up. You can squeeze through or into a space that is at least half as wide as your normal space. Each move into or through a narrow space counts as if it were 2 squares, and while squeezed in a narrow space you take a -4 penalty on attack rolls and a -4 penalty to AC. "

The above link was cut and pasted from a D&D rules forum I found while searching. It does appear to make sense and might be of use. Also, from reading different forums the use of Polearms/reach weapons, Bows and Shields (to block attacks) the consensus was that these were nearly prohibited while fighting in cramped quarters and that the use of unarmed or natural attacks were not given any minuses. However, if your intent

I think your post might have gotten cut off mid sentence there casdegere .. but yeah thanks for this, I remember it now from the Underdark WOTC book for forgotten realms To simplify it a bit further I'd say yep to everything casdegere mentioned above , -2 for light weapons and -4 for normal weapons aside from polearm/reach weapons, bows and shields

Also, the forum suggested just removing all dex bonus from ac instead of an across the board -4. Point being that no matter how dextrous someone was, they could not perform acrobatics in such a closed in space.
It will definately be an interesting fight!

If we use these rules, Azcot won't be able to fight either. First off, his reach is 10 feet as a large scale. He takes up a 4 square radius. Second he uses a greatsword (to scale?). That makes it so boyo can't swing.

If ogres and other Draconians can move around unfettered I believe Azcot can as well. I think but I am not sure that Andre was getting these rules straight in his head incase we decided to fiight in one of the pots.

Ah. Well I'd say lets not use this rule. It worked in 2nd edition due to all the "Optional Rules and Powers" such as "Mass of Fireball" or what not but 3rd ed doesn't really lend itself to ultra-realism as well. Can break game easy.
