The blueish light of the night casts long shadows in the hall of the old temple. The aura of this place is very strong.
Za'eras eyes open slowly as she slips out of her meditation. She heard something from outside the door. The drow stares through the broken windows toward the sky. So many stars. So beautiful.
There... another sound. "Draconians?!" she asks herself but discards that thought instantly again. It is something else. She slowly shifts away from Eolaer and gets up to look around. Everyone seems to sleep ((I know at least one is not asleep but this is what she sees. Feel free to join or to wake up as you like.)). Her hand tightens around the blue staff as she moves slowly toward the main entrance. Her body slowly forming a shape in the moonlight that falls through the wide open doors. Almost at the door she comes to an abrupt halt then slowly moves backwards step by step. Another shape appears in the twilight framed by the door. She wears long robes and holds a whip in her hand which radiates black fog.
Za'era keeps moving backward but the person at the door seems to ask her to come closer instead of moving away. The drow stops moving half way between the woman at the door and the statue which suddenly starts to move. The air fills with electricity and the hair on the skin begins to bristle.
The woman with the whip beckons Za'era so does the statue. She turns around back and forth. The blue staff starts to glow in a blue light as her eyes start to burn bright red. Lightnings start to strike from the statue toward the woman at the door and the other way around. Both ways they strike through the drow which stand between them. Her body starts the shake and spasm as the lightnings strike her flesh. She raises up from the ground as if the lightnings carry her up to a height of a feet. She opens her mouth and seems to scream in agony but no sound can be heard. Just her body is shaken from all the impacts and hits of the pure energy.
Suddenly the lightnings stop and Za'era falls to the ground. Her eyes turned normal again and the staff in her hand stopped to glow. She slowly leans forward kneeling and her other hand on the cold stone. Her chest rises and falls slowly but wide as she breathes and her head hangs down as she seems exhausted.
The whip shrieks through the air and leaves a dark trace of fog as it lunges out for the drow. The black leather wraps around her body and she falls to the ground screaming. There is no physical pain but as the leather hits images start to flood her mind. Her family. Her home. Her lover. She sees them suffer horrible torture and pain. Blood pours out of her nose and slowly runs down her chin until it finally drops downward to the stone.
The statue moves her hands and a soft faint blue glow surrounds the drow. It seems to calm down Za'era but the radiating black fog seems to intensify. A short moment later the blue light glows stronger. It keeps going on like this until the blue light of the aura hurts the eyes and the cracking energy of the whip forces everyone to hold their ears.
Darkness... Everything is gone. The statue is back in its old position and the person with the whip has vanished. Just Za'era lays on the ground. Half way between the door and the statue. Blood pours out of her nose and drops one the cold stone sinking into it like if it is soft grass.
