You guys found this on the skeleton of the banshee (ghost) that Za'era destroyed ... Rin pocketed it but made it blatantly obvious he was doing so presumably in case someone spoke up and said " Hey I want it ! " .. Rin knows what it does (bardic knowledge check)... description of item follows below, if anyone wants dibs on it post away here and you and Rin can have a dice-off or arm wrestling contest or something When worn as an amulet, this charm transforms its wearer into a specific animal form. She gains the animal’s Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution scores but retains her own Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma. She gains all the characteristics of the animal but loses her own (spellcasting, low-light vision, etc). The wearer’s type and subtype change to the new form. Upon changing, the subject regains lost hit points as if she had rested for the night (though this does not restore temporary ability damage or provide any other benefits of resting, except ability damage caused by the spell; see below). Each hour she remains in animal form, she must make a Will save (DC 14). If she fails, she suffers 1d4 points of Intelligence damage as her memories begin to slip away. Once she reaches an Intelligence of 3, the damage ceases, and she is permanently trapped in animal form. Unless the wearer is trapped in animal form, the effect lasts for a maximum of 3 hours or until she removes the charm (which only she can see while in animal form). Weak transmutation; CL 3rd; Craft Wondrous Item, shape of the beasts; Price 1200 stl; weight 0.25 lb. Source: Towers of High Sorcery (dragonlance pdf book), page 55.

Not sure if you decided to just use the spell for the charm or didn't notice what the charms descriptor said, but just in case you didn't house rule the charms function I will copy it to here. After all you did call Branchala: Eli, Habbuk, and another name. Anyway here it is, agian unless you house ruled it like this Andre. These simple charms are often the first items crafted by apprentice wizards after they have passed their Test of High Sorcery. The charms are typically made into pieces of jewelry, such as an amulet, bracelet, or a ring. Although they can often take the forms of magical rings, and would normally be crafted by Forge Ring (a metamagic skill beyond the abilities of most apprentices), they are crafted as Wondrous Items because of their limited capabilities. When worn, this charm transforms its wearer into a specified animal form, just as if she had cast shape of the beasts on herself. The animal form lasts up to 1 hour, or until the wearer takes off the charm (which only she can see when she’s in animal form). The charm can be used once per day. Weak transmutation; CL 3rd; Craft Wondrous Item, shape of the beasts; Price 1200 stl.; Weight 0.25 lb.

As stupid as this really may sound but Za'era would like to have this amulet. Less out of technical use but because of RP reason. I really would like to see her as a dark big cat (i.e. panther) next to Serinda in a white gown sometimes.
I know it may sound silly but it has a deeper reason.

Guenhwyvar.... Oh sorry was reading some books while I was thinking about what to type. I wonder what Za'era's reason is... Anywho, Rin has a plan for the amulet/brooch/charm/ring thingy. No I am not giving the specifics of the plan as it has nothing to do with our current predicament. However he will gladly give it to Za'era he may just ask to borrow it. Mind you as of this moment no one has asked about it yet so...

I will gladly borrow it and somehow I have no real worries about the will save to be made to remove the amulet again. *chuckles at Andre*

I have about the same non-worries about the save as I have to roll a 1 to fail it.... Granted with my luck lately.

Yep the above is definitely correct, but bear in mind you need to know the " shape of the beasts" spell in order to create said item, 3rd level sorcerer/wizard spell described on page 42 of "Towers of High Sorcery" dragonlance pdf book ...

Took the liberty of noting it on both Za'era and Rin's character sheets along with notes in the "notes" tab of your character record sheet describing the game mechanics/effects of the use of said charm

Rin's only gonna use it for special occasions. Remember how he said he would reward Tani later? Yeah I know what you all are thinking.... "Ewwww!" Don't worry though I am not going to RP it unless you want me too.

*wonders if Serinda would run screaming if she suddenly finds a giant spider in her bed and giggles*

Serinda isn't exactly afraid of Spiders, but Za'era also certainly wouldn't get any lovings while being a big spider Also according to the letter of the rules, and reading what andre wrote. You can't use it to turn into spiders, because spiders don't count as 'animals' but as vermin. It's possible Andre intended for vermin to be included though? They're kinda a type of animal..
