(ooc i agree with priateking, also Forman is not mad at all, if anything he is slightly amused. Please remember they guy is very self confident, cocky, prone to violent tendencies, and not overly bright. He could really give two shits what the elf thinks about him.)
Forman listens to Serinda's latest retort with a look sincerity and even shame on his face. When he is done his head seems to hang.
Forman's head snaps up looking at Serinda, he sticks his tongue out at her
"plufttt" goes Forman's tongue as blows raspberries at her.
"You sound like every other woman I have ever met in my life."
Forman pitches his voice in a very high irritating shrill scream and says, "la la la I'm Serinda, i have to be the center of attention all the time, laa laa laa."
Forman's facial expression changes and he starts to hysterically laugh.
"That reminds me of a great story."
"I was in Tarsis about three years ago, drinking in this tavern. This woman who claimed to be head of the "Tarsis Temperance League" entered into the establishment and just started to berate us for consuming alcohol."
"Of course she was just ignored, when she found that no one was paying her any heed she began to preach against the evils of ale, mead and spirits at a fever pace, she got more and more shrill."
"Finally, one of the men I was sitting with yelled to the woman, "By my grandfathers wrinkly sack, you sound as shrill as two ex-wives." The tavern exploded in laughter, the woman's face was beet red and she stormed out of the tavern."
Forman points his finger at Serinda, "that's who you remind me of!!!"
"Serinda the Shrill!! Scourge of men everywhere!!!"
Every time Forman looks at her he burst out laughing.

Rin chuckles and stops turning on a claw. He looks strait at Forman a small smirk on his face.
"Much like you had to be at the dwarves village eh? I mean there you were in a dwarves home and you had to hurt them because he was dismissing you. If that not a cry for attention then I am not a Kenku bard with an odd secret. I'm not just talking about my magic either... I mean a secret form all of you."
Waling back into the center of the group he looks to Serinda.
"I didn't know you wanted to be the center of attention last I remember you preferred not being the center of attention. Especially when is came to human's male human in particular. Something about their stares make you uncomfortable."
Rin looks around and smiles.
"Oh believe me I know those stares when I see them. Now Serinda is the third most physically beautiful person I have seen, and probably the first any of you have.... except maybe Draug, he might have seen a she-wolf or something. Anyway.... I also know that most people I've met with her appearance prefer small amounts of attention. And I've met a nymph and a person more beautiful than said nymph, so I know what I'm talking about."
Rin pulls a small book out from under his shirt as well as an inkwell. He dips a claw in the ink and starts writing.
"So can we all agree, that punching and hurting people that annoy us is very bad and we won't do it any more? I mean if I went and hit everyone that annoyed me none of you would have tender bits left which would be a damn shame. Except in Udyr's case..... No offense, but Serinda dreads the thought of more of me in this world the same as you do I'm sure and I dread anymore of you. Granted unless we visit Tika I doubt that is likely to happen."

Draug chuckles quietly amused with comments of the Monk
(Elven)
"I do say boys I see why you enjoy watching from the sidelines it is exceptionally more amusing when your not in the brunt of all the mess. I know Serinda means well so I have been cutting her slack with the whole Kagonesti Silvanesti elf feud but, if I were to go to her town I definitely would not be so coy as I am now." whispers Draug to Zane and Rin as he continues to watch this tennis like bantering.

Draug continues to speak to Rin and Zane
"I have to say ever since Wallalkuk and the Blue Phoenix have spoken to me I have taken a whole new viewpoint of Serinda. I can not base her whole races action upon her. If I do it would be like saying Zane here is a monster who is hell bent on destroying Ansalon, or that Rin here is a slaver and shouldn;t be trusted in the slightest, even take me for instance I found out I am not much of a spirit at all im a werewolf! According to stories about werewolves I should be raping pilaging and killing in near by towns afflicting many and killing more.... yet I do not. So I must give Serinda the benefit of the doubt so far she has had no intention of "civilizing me" and I don't think she will. Who knows maybe if the two of us work together we can put and end to this feud and leave it in the past."

Rin looks to Draug and quickly speaks.
"Oh you still shouldn't trust me completely, I mean I am a bard."

(I find it silly that people take this type of thing too seriously, I'm personally having fun with it.) ( Whew ! Good I'm glad you guys are having fun with it ... also to clarify one of my earlier statements - being someone who's naturally a "peacemaker" type isn't a bad thing, that's what I was trying to say earlier .. Zane for example has the type of personality where he wants everyone to bury the hatchet, if nothing else because he wants to get the whole business over with and get back to Laurana as soon as possible (good RP'ing there btw Zane ) ... and that's fine ! Far as I'm concerned Zane is doing a good job RP'ing - Draug too for that matter , everyone is actually doing a good job ! What I meant was if your PC is the kind of person to argue when a given situation comes up don't be afraid to argue out of fear the player controlling the PC will take it the wrong way ... nothing wrong with peacemaker type PC's and nothing wrong with PC's who are prone to argue, both are good ..
I'm probably beating a dead horse here with my over-caution to make sure no one's feelings are hurt but just one more thing .... if anyone's interested check out the "races of ansalon" pdf pages 71-72 , the entry on the Silvanesti elves in general (which Serinda is one of ) .. here's a few quotes from it :
"Proud and aloof, the Silvanesti consider themselves to be the first children of the gods, the oldest and wisest mortal race, and the keepers of the pinnacle of mortal civilization. They had grown frustrated with the world and removed themselves from it as much as possible, hoping to maintain the purity of their inherent superiority."
"The Silvanesti are members of the oldest and, by many measures, most advanced civilization on Ansalon. Some of the greatest mages, warriors, and artists ever known on Ansalon have been Silvanesti. The Silvanesti know this and take it to heart, leading to a vast cultural superiority complex. They are among the most arrogant and selfimportant mortals in existence, and their air of assumed superiority regularly insults those of other races."
Basically y'all can assume Serinda will look down at the rest of you pretty much all the time because it's something of a racial tendency ... I've actively encouraged solardawn (Serinda's player) to do this as part of the whole RP'ing both the social and anti-social parts of your PC's personality that I encourage all players to do (again long as it doesn't deteroriate to PC-on-PC lethal damage combat without a REALLY good reason one other than " he pissed me off" fir example ) - far as I'm concerned her tendency to look down on Forman , Draug and Udyr has led to some terrific RP'ing in this thread !
The PC argument about the whole dislocating the dwarven leader Stenkast's arm thing, Forman wanting to do the pressure point thing on the Stenkast's finger (as an FYI Forman I'd need some sort of game rule to reflect it other than "monks can do it in real life" kind of thing - I probably would have treated it as a stunning fist kind of attack with subdual damage or something like that if Forman had succeeded ) ... remember that it's just that , an argument between PC's.. in "real life" Draug's player, deepfrey, checked with me first via voice chat in skype to make sure it wasn't a Good-alignment violation, I said it wasn't and he proceeded to dislocate the dwarf's arm with the intention of someone magically healing it afterwards to make the (exceedingly) stubborn dwarf believe the gods had returned - "good" and "evil" are REALLY tricky, abstract concepts and it's more than possibly players will never agree fully on what's good and what's evil , which is where the DM making a call thing comes into play ... as the DM, solardawn is perfectly within his rights to handle alignment and good aligned behavior in a more strict way than I do when he gets his campaign up and running
(see reply 24 of solardawn's on this thread :
whatifdragonlancedm.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=offtopic&action=display&thread=763&page=2 )
simply because "good" and "evil" are such abstract, non-concrete subjects that we as players (and the DM for the campaign in question too possibly ) could sit here and argue FOREVER on this forum about what constitutes " good " and "evil" behavior ... for my part when solardawn is DM'ing I plan to go along with whatever calls he makes on alignment simply because SOMEONE has to make that call or the game will grind to a halt as players and DM's , or players and players, argue with each other endlessly about the topic... not a good situation, far better to live with the DM's decision even if you don't agree 100 percent with the DM's call.. and if you find the campaign simply doesn't suit you due to the DM's interpretation of good aligned behavior, simply drop out with no hard feelings on the player's or the DM's part... not every player is going to like every DM's gaming style, known fact ... and I'm not saying anyone is arguing about good and evil alignment type stuff in "real life" here on the forum either, I'm just saying it's best not to argue about it to begin with ..
The above commentary about players and alignment should NOT be taken as being directed at any of the players in particular by me as a DM either, I'm not trying to single anyone out here either or saying I'm unhappy with anyone or anything like that .... far as i'm concerned none of the players in my dragonlance campaign fall into the category of either acting in an evil fashion or acting in "too much" of a Good alignment (Lawful Good, Neutral Good,Chaotic Good) type fashion ... PC's arguing about proper behavior is great , good RP'ing far as I'm concerned - players however shouldn't argue about it in real life .. talking it out is fine if it's really bothering someone .. I'm going to take the liberty of assuming that the PC's arguing with each other about the proper course of action here is just RP'ing .. )

"You have any more of that ale there Rin? I could use a glass or two about now." Zane shakes his head. "Then again, maybe I don't. We should get moving. Whatever happens will happen. It is in the hands of the gods anyway." Zane takes a look at the sky and starts walking south, towards Skullcap. "You all coming? We can fight and talk at the same time."

Serinda wipes her face and scoffs, sitting down on a rock and making no effort to move along. "I don't think so, the thing is, the dwarves haven't done anything to deserve inflicting these people upon them... The dwarves may have their own problems... But this is their home.. I think asking them to take in so many people like these two.... Is cruel and unusual punishment... The dwarves have done nothing to deserve that." She remains sitting stubbornly and enjoys the view. ((It's all fine hehe, Haven't been really upset about something IC since I was 11, and my best friend stabbed my character to death simply because he needed something to raise as a zombie ))

Draug is taken a back by Serinda's comment,
(elven)
"Where do you suppose we should take them then Serinda? I think the mountain dwarves would be an excellent temporary home until the end of this war. They would have no fear of the Dragon armies after the war. It is then that we can annex them into other cities and villages."

Forman smiles at Serinda's latest verbal slap,
"I kind of agree with the Shrill One, I think that at best the Dwarves may agree to take in the refugee's till after the spring thaw. After that it may be best if they disperse into smaller groups and make their way out of the mountains into more hospitable lands."
"When you all rescued the refugee's you assumed some sort of responsibility for their safety and well being, when I joined this group I also assumed this responsibility. But after this immediate threat is past and these people have a reasonable chance to safely make their own way in the world, they should be allowed to do so. To continue to dictate where they go and what they do, when they can make these decisions themselves is wrong."
Forman gathers his pack together and is ready to march in a matter of seconds.
"I agree with Zane here, we should be moving."
he begins to sing
"Up in the air junior birdman Up in the air upside down Up in the air junior birdman Keep your noses off the ground
When you hear the grand announcement that your wings are made of gold. Then you know that Junior Birdman, well never live to be old."
winks at Rin and laughs

Udyr stops after hearing Serinda's last statement and shift back into his human form.
"Judging an entire race off the actions of a few? We should get moving, if this Silvanesti bitch doesnt want to help, leave her here, she only seems to care for herself and her own people. Her superior morals say to leave the refugee's to die."
Udyr looks to the other members of the group.
"Let's go!"
Udyr walks in the direction Zane is heading.

Serinda shrugs and sighs softly.
"You're right you do take on responsibility for people you save, but you also take on responsibility for those you travel with. Which means I'm already partially responsible for one event i'm very much ashamed of and disturbed by. I can't do that again, which means I don't know how to proceed next... Because I cannot and will not proceed as we have... Where everyone just does whatever they please and damned be to the world. And if we can't work that out... Well.. I could return to the refugees, and attempt to scry for the city, perhaps manage to establish contact with it's leader through magic... There are other paths..."
