Yeah, now that i've trained that girl in doing my job, I'm hoping i'll get a little more rest, maybe get some sleep in once in a blue moon. And i can start working on it some. Though I should mention my style is somewhat different from Andre's, be warned

Think I might use my old campaign idea, since it never really got far, only like 6 sessions in or something.
Here's the intro i wrote for it back then.
Standing at an old and no longer used entrance to the cital of Abdar is an ancient statue of Dwarven King Abdar himself, and two well armored dwarven guards stand on the lookout for any trouble.
Krag stretches his powerful orc body and wipes a bit of drool off his tusks, he grins as he glances back at the small group of goblins he brought along. The dwarves were well suited to fight off a major invasion, but there are many old passages in the deep places of the world. And his small group had snuck around the major defenses quite easily, to end up so close to their target, now came the time he treasured most, a time for blood and murder.
Krag snarls as some of the goblins become impatient behind him, and his powerful hand grabs one of them by the throat and shakes it around. "Quiet!" he throws the whimpering goblin against a wall and spits at it, disgusting creature. Then his attention turns back to the dwarves and he hisses softly to the goblins. "You lot take ole greybeard, other one is mine. Remember the boss orders, no sound"
He picks up the heavy dwarven axe he took from a dwarven corpse a long time ago and has treasured since, and swings it up as he charges without a word to the younger of the two dwarves. The first blow connects only with the dwarf's powerful metal shield and bounces off, Krag let's out a scowling hiss as the dwarf's blade slashes across his exposed arm, splattering blood onto the ground. But Krag has suffered far worse injuries in his years, and ignoring the pain he swings the axe back, this time connecting with the dwarf's thick neck and sinking halfway into the dwarf's throat, Krag let's out a howl of victory as the dwarf drops to the floor, before remembering what he told the goblins only moments before.
Remembering the goblins, he glances at the other dwarf and is pleased to find it also dead, though his original 6 goblins seem to have been reduced to 3. "What are you doing scum?!" He snarls towards the goblins who are looting the corpse. "Treasure, gold! Dwarves have many!" The goblins mutter back. "Leave it!!" He spits towards the lesser creatures again, and then heads towards the statue of the dwarven lord, knowing that the shield used for the statue is the real shield once used by this lord Abdar. Krag wraps his powerful hands around the shield and rips it free from the hands of the statue, and throws it towards the scampering goblins "Carry it filth!"
He watches the statue of the dwarven lord for a long moment, feeling an his blood boil with the desire to use his axe to deface the statue more, but that wasn't what the boss wants. So he turns around and follows the goblins back into the deep darkness, their job completed.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Each of you stands within a small but well build dwarven armory, weapons and armor standing ready to be used by the dwarves of the city in case of attacks. But at the moment most of the items are standing in cases against the walls and in long racks in the middle of the room, looking well cared for and clean, as the city is not under siege, only a few guards are required to keep order and as a general reminder that the guards are watching. The captain of the guard in this section of town is watching you carefully, an older dwarf but still in his prime, he's got a long dark red beard and is fully armored, with a noble symbol upon the chest of his plate. His dark eyes pass over each of you in turn, giving some an approving look and others a slightly disgusted expression. "Six of ya, that should do it. Listen up, last night we were raided, a group of goblins, possibly aided by orcs, they've been working together a lot lately, stole an ancient shield from our of our oldest statue. And I'm hiring the lot of ya to get it back." He glances over at you all once more and nods slowly. "You'll be wondering why I aint sending me own men, fair question, aye. Truth be, I'd rather not anyone know the shield be stolen. I've told anyone who asks it's being repaired. Loosing part of our oldest statue's, it'd be an insult to our people, it'd get them angry or worried. Better they never learn the shield was taken at all" He looks briefly out of the arrow slits that are the only windows in this building. "The shield itself then, it's a fine shield, aye. Dwarven made, thick steel, quite decent, but it aint magical, it does not win wars or turn the tide of battle, it's value lies in the meaning it has to my people. Do this properly, and you shall be rewarded well." He walks towards the back of the building and brings back a small chest, which he opens to reveal it's filled to the brim with gold and silver coins, and he grins. "This shall be yer reward if you return with the shield. A fair bargain I say." He closes the chest once more and stands up in his full height, which is shorter then any of you, and watches you all. "Well then, whatya say."

Nah not at all, it just requires that you happen to be in a dwarven city, the guard mentions that he's not using his own people for a reason. You CAN be a dwarf. But don't need to be by any means

Very nice intro/write up I like it , reads like a novel - well done in my humble opinion At the risk of repeating myself I'll be running a PC much like the dark elf Chalzin (solardawn - Serinda in the dragonlance game and darkalloy - rin the bird man - know what I mean by this ) except she's going to be even MORE brazen and outrageous now that she doesn't have to worry quite so much about the political repercussions of her behavior - imagine Chalzin with the leash off except she's a half-elf (half surface-elf that is ) ... her "heart of gold" complex will be more pronounced too especially given that she doesn't have to worry about it being seen as a sign of weakness anymore... rogue character class ..

I just wanted to give fair warning So you aren't entirely surprised when you end up in a dwarven prison for 8 months! But when you say Chalzin, you mean personality wise? not the paladin class?

sorry yes personality wise she'll be a rogue far as character class .. possibly a multiclassed rogue/fighter

That sounds decent, of course you'd have been allowed to play a paladin too, I'd just worry that you'd loose lawful good real fast lol I fear i'm probably a bit more of a hard ass on alignments

..... Your gonna make Alissa again aren't you? Anyway so are we going to be doing forgotten realms? Naw .. Alissa and Sehlia are both rogue/fighters the way I've run them in the past so same fighting style.. but personalities are different... think Chalzin only completely let loose for Sehila's personality.. Alissa was the opposite - never smiled, always spoke in a monotone emotionless voice (basically trying to come across as a "tough guy" - um ,girl ) , was always challenging people to non-lethal combat and wanting to , as she put it, "kick their ass" ... so different personalties but same fighting style and probably similar stats / abilities .. Sehlia's more likely to try and charm her way out of a situation first (use of diplomacy if the situation allows for it - I'm guessing trying to seduce anything that walks falls under diplomacy skill? ) before she resorts to violence ..

Actually I think seduction falls under bluff, if I remember correctly anyway.
