I posted on a different thread that I was working on fixing and adding features a barebones Cyberpunk 2020 rule set. While it is still a work in a progress, I believe that it is to a point where it is possible to host a game. Now comes the question.. would anyone be interested in even playing this game? A base overview from Wikipedia can be found here. I would link the real page from R. Talsorian, but they discontinued the 2020 line in favor of version 3. I had a base idea for a game a while back that I still have the notes for, but, the thing is, that campaign would be pretty straight forward like go here, get this and bring it back. It could be considered a hack and slash style game. I don't know if that would appeal to anyone. And then throw in the fact I have never DMed a game (in real life and on the net) and it could not go well. If there is interest, I could try to get a one shot or something similar set up to atleast test the rule set and the genre. Let me know what you all think. Blahness

To clarify I'm guessing that blahness98 (he plays Zane btw guys, the guy with the beard and mustache Alaina's bud ) is thinking of running the one-shot on a Tuesday when we're not running the dragonlance D&D campaign (remember that I run it once every two weeks).. I played cyberpunk once a while ago, lots of fun .. with the munchkins out of school for summer break I have my hands full just DM'ing the Dragonlance campaign but come September I'd be up for being a player in a game on the "off" Tuesdays we're not playing dragonlance

I'm willing to give it a shot, no clue what to expect so that's good news for blahness98 seeing as he can't disappoint

Normally I'd be up for trying something new, and I still am if it's some distance in the future, but right now i'm just barely managing to stick to life as it is. Apart from needing to do my own job without any chance of a day off because i'm the only one who can do it. The other day who works in the administration room is also on holiday. And somehow my boss thinks I can do my own job and his on the side. So I'm glad enough if I can just survive the next few weeks. Even while i'm home i can't seem to shake thinking about work. Right now I'm trying to remember what car repair shop we always use. Because one of the cars needs to have some minor fixing, and I need to make an appointment, just don't remember the name of it. Sigh. Anyway, if it's in the future i'm game, but currently i'm swamped just getting through life.

This was a quick check to see if I should plan a game. From the looks of it, I will start pulling things together. The game would more than likely be sometime in the future. Maybe a month or so I will have a lot of it pulled together.

And what type of game were you looking at doing solar? D&D or a different system?

D&D, Forgotten realms for that matter, it's my favorite setting, granted I usually modify fearun a little bit to suit my needs, but the basic setting of Fearun is by far my favorite

Cool. Sounds like a fun game. Heavy rp like this one or more hack and slash or a good mix?

Most of my games tend to lean towards RP, but they also involve combat, especially my D&D ones, life is brutal in Fearun. But most of all I try to give players multiple options to solve the problems they face, if you wanna go and talk to the dragon terrorizing the town, bribe him to leave the village alone with gold, that's one way, you wanna try to smack it down, that's another.
